June 9th:
I apologize for not posting yesterday...the whale watch trip to the San Juan Island's was a long day and by the time I returned it was 8:45 p.m. and I was starving and exhausted from sitting on a ferry in the cold, drizzly rain. I also wanted to load my whale watching photos and forgot the adapter for my camera to transfer photos to the computer. Aaargh! Thinking that I was so smart and my new camera came with WiFi this would be an easy task...not so much. Needless to say, this involved a trip to Apple in the University district to get one for the macbook.

My poor Uber driver looked a bit rattled from having to navigate the loads of traffic from downtown Seattle to the University district. I asked him if he would wait while I ran into the store and then take me back into town. Today's plan was to visit the Space Needle and the Chihuly Exhibit so, that is where it begins. The exhibit was truly breathtaking and showed the amazing talent of Dale Chihuly from the small vases with threads running through them to the brillant colors of the flowers. I wonder who dusts and cleans all these works of art? Glad this isn't my job.
I headed over to the Space Needle to admire the view from the tippy top.
The next visit before the walk home was the Museum of Pop Culture. Very cool! They had exhibits that looked at different genres from horror, fantasy and Star Trek. Music of Jimi Hendrix, history of guitars, and my favorite was the exhibit on Jim Henson and the muppets. My mother loved the muppets and I felt like she was right there all excited.

That ended the adventure for the day and was ready for a well-deserved nap. Good Night.
